Joe David Peacock, a cherished figure in the lives of many, was born on October 15, 1946, in Dewitt, Arkansas. He departed this world peacefully at his residence on March 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, music, and the friendships he fostered throughout his life.
A proud graduate of Grand Prairie High School, Joe pursued a fulfilling career as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to explore the open roads and connect with people from all walks of life. His adventurous spirit was complemented by his deep passion for music; he loved to write and sing, often expressing himself through his guitar and bass. His melodies brought joy to those around him, and his artistic talents will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of hearing his performances.
Joe was a devoted member of The Cowboy Church, where he not only found spiritual nourishment but also a community that embraced him warmly. His faith played a significant role in his life, guiding him through both challenges and triumphs.
He was a loving husband, father, and stepfather, with family ties that extend across generations. He is survived by his wife Brenda Peacock, son, David Brent Peacock and wife Sheila; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Hobbs and husband Rodney; and step-children, Dustin Gilmore, Misti Nalls and husband Brad. Joe took immense pride in his grandchildren—Kameron, Ruby, Britany, Marshall, Tamara, Parker, and Phoenix—as well as his great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and CJ, each of whom brought a sparkle to his eyes.
Joe is also survived by his siblings: Donna Peacock, Roger Peacock and wife Ima, and Robbie Peacock, all of whom will deeply miss his kindness and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his beloved family members father Joe Peacock; mother; Maddie Cherry, son; Sean Peacock and brother; Garry Peacock, who hold a cherished place in the hearts of those who remember them.
As we reflect on the life of Joe David Peacock, we celebrate a man whose impact resonated through his music, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his connection to his faith. His memory will live on in the stories shared and the songs sung, a beautiful testament to a life well-lived.
