Raymond Venston Reschke peacefully passed away in Kaufman, Texas on April 11, 2024. Born on November 25, 1932, in his beloved hometown of Kaufman, Texas, Raymond's life was characterized by hard work, love for his family, and a passion for the simple pleasures in life.
Raymond was known for his country charm and his unwavering love for his family. He found joy in the little things - from tinkering around with various projects to spending serene days fishing at the lake or hunting deer. His green thumb was evident in the time he happily spent nurturing his vegetable garden, "especially his peppers".
Raymond dedicated over 25 years of his life to working for the City of Dallas in the Parks and Recreation Department. His hard work and passion for serving the community left a lasting impact on those around him.
In his journey through life, Raymond was preceded by his parents, Roy Reschke and Una Phillips Reschke; his loving wife Ruby Reschke; his daughter Brenda Reschke Lindsey; as well as siblings Johnny Reschke, Thomas Reschke, Jimmy Reschke, Roy Reschke, Troy Reschke, Una Mae Reschke Taylor, and Lola Faye Reschke. Their spirits now reunite with him in eternal peace.
Raymond leaves behind cherished memories with his surviving family members and friends. His daughter Sherry Fleetwood and husband Robert will forever hold him close to their hearts. His brother Jerry Don Reschke will carry on Raymond's legacy with pride. The generations that followed will keep Raymond's spirit alive - grandchildren: David Bearden and wife Rebecca, Tracy Collum, Misty Whitmore and husband Lennie, Willie Copeland and wife Amanda, Damon Copeland; great-grandchildren: Courtney Garmin and husband Michael, Heather Bearden, Katlin Harvey, Delayna Bearden, Trevor Collum, Chloe Martinez, Keylenn Whitmore, Kailey Whitmore, Korbin Whitmore Lindsey Whitmore Breanna Whitmore Isabella Copeland Emily Copeland Tristan Copeland Willie Jr. Copeland Chance Thompson Erica Copeland Gracie Copeland along with twenty great-great-grandchildren.
