Remembering Todd D Hunter Sr

July 21, 1960 – May 12, 2026

Todd D. Hunter Sr. was born on July 21, 1960 to Daryl and Rosie Hunter. Growing up alongside his older brother Daryl Jr and his sister, Kathy, Todd developed a lifelong passion for adventure and the outdoors. His favorite days were spent riding motorcycles with his best friend Craig Radar or hitting the links for a round of golf.

On July 28, 1979, Todd married the love of his life, Rebecca “Becky” Hunt. A year later, the young couple moved to Texas to plant their roots and start a family of their own. Todd was a deeply devoted father; he welcomed his first daughter, Elizabeth, in April of 1983, followed closely by his son, Todd Jr in July of 1984. A true provider and craftsman, Todd built his family’s forever home with his very own hands in the spring of 1988. Five years later, their family was complete when Samantha was born, blessing him for a third time.

Todd never missed a single moment of his children’s lives. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines of a softball, baseball or basketball game, or sitting proudly through dance recitalsm, he was always their biggest fan.

As his children grew, Todd’s heart only expanded.

In 2003, he proudly walked Elizabeth down the aisle to marry Jonathan Skaggs.In 2006, he became a grandfather for the first time. Overjoyed by the news, he lovingly built a baby crib by hand for his first granddaughter, Cheyenne Skaggs. Elizabeth would go on to bless Todd with two more grandchildren, Jaycee and Payton Skaggs.In 2018, Todd watched with pride as his son, Todd Jr, married his wife, Courtne Hunter.Later years brought more joy when Samantha married her husband, Keith Levesque. Todd became a grandfather for the fourth and fifth time with the births of Penelope Malnar and Winston Levesque and proudly welcomed step-grandchildren Dillon and Mckenna into his heart.

Following a dedicated career, Todd retired from Rockwall School District IT department. Retirement allowed him to fully embrace his favorite pastimes playing as much golf as humanly possible, tackling new side projects around the house and nurturing a newfound passion by starting his own backyard tree farm.

Todd spent 47 beautiful years of marriage with Rebecca building a legacy of love, watching their family grown, flourish and stay close. He was truly one of a kind – a master builder, dedicated family man and loyal friend. He will be deeply missed every single day.
