Zonie Marie Lollis

Zonie Marie Lollis passed away on March 7, 2024, in Kaufman, Texas. She was born on April 27, 1940, in Garland, Arkansas, to parents Perry and Lizzy (Acres) Lollis.

Zonie was a loving and kind woman. Although she had a tough life growing up, Zonie was always happy and upbeat, and had a penchant for uplifting people’s spirits. She found comfort and solace in her faith and loved listening to Christian music. Zonie will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Kaufman Healthcare Center for their kindness, compassion and for taking wonderful care of Zonie.

Zonie is preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Lizzy Lollis; granddaughters, Jackie and Sherita Council; and her siblings, William Lollis, David Lollis, Sylvester Lollis, and Hazel Reed.

Zonie is survived by her daughters, Lisa Marie Pigg and spouse Martin Barnard of Athens, Texas, and Michelle Yvonne Jordan  and spouse Jeff Sadie of Branson, Missouri; grandchildren, James Council and spouse Jennifer of Quitman, Texas, Jamie Council of Eustace, Texas; great-grandchildren, Faith Council, Ranger Council, and Forrest Council of Quitman, Texas; Bubba Campbell and Alexis Campbell of Eustace, Texas; Skylar Dorough and Raylen Dorough of Eustace, Texas, Hannah Ganyea, Kyler Jordon of Kaufman, Texas; as well as numerous other extended family & friends.
